Tantrum

-25. Tantrum

The Tantrum card represents frustration, childishness, and reckless immaturity. It is the child screaming for candy in the market. It is the protester breaking windows in the streets. It is the ex-spouse that, in a fit of rage, blocks visiting rights and shared custody of the children. When we are consumed with conflict, outrage, and crisis, we have entered the realm of the Tantrum. We have fallen into the dramas in which we, ourselves, are both the perpetrator and the victim. We are exasperated and we won’t stop until everyone feels our pain. We see in the top right corner of the card a doll that has lost an eye, depicting the inherent violence of this card. If you have drawn the Tantrum card today, consider your ability to manage your emotions. Are you aggravating a situation or relationship? Do you take responsibility for yourself? Take a good look at how you express the frustrations and upsets in life. It might be time to grow up.

If this card was pulled with the intent to provide advice:

The time has come to throw a tantrum. Something is not okay with you and it’s high time that everyone knew about it. Right now, today, express your anguish, frustration, and anger. Throw your hands in the air. Shake your fist at the sky. Cry yourself into a puddle on the floor. Invite everyone to the party, the more drama the better.
